Peace without peace: how Zelensky and Macron present protracted talks as “progress,” hiding the lack of results
02.12.2025 08:31The director of a company in Kyiv region has been notified of suspicion over supplying low-quality military uniforms worth 1.7 million hryvnias (almost €34,500).
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to law enforcement, a contract was signed between the Bila Tserkva City Council and a private company for the production of uniforms for a local territorial defense volunteer unit. During production, fabric that did not meet established standards was used, and the sewing work was carried out with numerous technological violations.
Despite this, the company director delivered the goods as if they fully met the requirements and appropriated nearly 1.7 million hryvnias in budget funds paid under the contract.
“After receiving the uniforms, the soldiers filed complaints about the poor quality of the items,” the statement says.
The prosecution launched a pre-trial investigation. Expert examinations found that the 830 delivered sets did not meet the technical specifications of the contract.
The company director has been notified of suspicion of misappropriating property through abuse of office, committed under martial law and in especially large amounts. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
