24.11.2025 - 15:01In Lviv, parents whose children had been called to the principal’s office opened fire in the yard of Secondary School No. 13. The incident took place in the Sykhiv district.
This was reported on Facebook by Andriy Zakalyuk, head of the city council’s education department.
“After a verbal conflict, one of the men took out an air pistol and allegedly fired four shots. The man sustained injuries to his abdomen and leg. An ambulance was called to the scene, and law enforcement is already working there,” the post says.
None of the students or teachers were injured, the official added.
According to him, the children of the men involved in the conflict are classmates in primary school and had also been in conflict in class. This morning a meeting was held in the principal’s office with the parents and a social worker in an attempt to resolve the problem. However, the parents did not reach an agreement and continued their conversation one-on-one in the school yard, which escalated into a shooting.
Local Telegram channels are publishing video of the incident.
Earlier, the media reported that security measures in Lviv schools had been tightened following threats of mass violence. Online users noticed a group that had announced a “mass massacre” in the city’s schools and in the local Forum shopping mall.
