In Mykolaiv, a scheme of issuing fake certificates for draft dodgers has been uncovered

In Mykolaiv, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered a scheme for draft dodgers. A group of individuals was involved in trading fictitious medical certificates declaring them unfit for military service.

This information comes from press-department of Security Service of Ukraine.

Among the individuals involved were the head of a local charitable foundation, who recruited draft dodgers, and her accomplice.

After obtaining fictitious certificates, they were passed on to the deputy chief physician of the regional center for medical and social expertise, who “confirmed the diagnoses” of the evaders and assigned them disability statuses.

As a result, more than 15 draft dodgers planned to use these certificates to leave for the EU, but the SBU officers prevented their escape.
