07.12.2025 10:01Residents of Odesa smashed the windows of a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRC) bus, rescuing citizens who were being forcibly mobilized.
This was reported by local media.
In footage that appeared online, you can see those who had been “bussed” out climbing through the shattered window of the minibus, while men gathered around help them and continue to destroy the vehicle, throwing tires at it and hitting it with sticks.
Shouts and demands for the military recruiters to get out of the bus can be heard from all sides. Some people pull on the handle of the front door, behind which the TRC staff are located, after which one of the men breaks a window and yells at the servicemen.
Recall that in Lviv, a man stabbed to death a TRC and Social Support employee during an ID check. The slain recruiter turned out to be an ATO veteran who had returned to the front after the start of the full-scale war and was later transferred to the TRC due to health problems. In court, the suspect stated that he had been provoked into killing the recruiter, claiming he had been brutally beaten by the mobilization officers.
After this incident, military ombudsperson Olha Reshetilova stated that mobilization should be handled by the executive authorities and local self-government bodies together with law enforcement, and not by military personnel.
