14.07.2024 14:37Another language scandal occurred on an Odesa beach: women quarreled over songs by the late lead singer of the band “Laskovyi Mai,” Yuri Shatunov.
Footage of the incident was posted on local Telegram channels.
According to the video, the conflict started when a Ukrainian-speaking vacationer demanded that the “Russian music” be turned off. Others began to argue with her, and one of the women suggested “reading the Constitution,” stating that listening to Russian music is not prohibited.
According to Odesa Telegram channels, the music playing on the beach was by the Soviet band “Laskovyi Mai.”
Previously, a conflict arose in Odesa due to the performance of songs in Russian. In footage published by local Telegram channels, a man and a young woman can be seen arguing near a street musician. The man, using profanities, shouted, “How long will you listen to this shit?” The woman responded emotionally to him.
It is worth noting that Odesa, along with Kyiv and Kharkiv, ranks among the top three regions for violations of the language law.
