In one of Peru’s resorts, a Ukrainian man killed and dismembered a Russian woman.
This information reported according to local media reports.
The couple was staying at a healing center in the city of Yurimaguas. Police reports indicate that 38-year-old Ukrainian citizen Ivan Kuznetsov fatally beat 44-year-old Russian citizen Lyudmila Lazarenko. Afterward, he attempted to dismember her body to dispose of it. The two were living together in the same room.
The police arrived in response to the victim’s screams. When detained, Kuznetsov behaved erratically, scratching and biting the officers.
It appears that Kuznetsov was not the woman’s husband, as her social media profiles show numerous photos with her husband and daughters. However, it is reported that she and Kuznetsov were living together in the room.
A smoking pipe was found in Kuznetsov’s possession, but there is no evidence yet that he had consumed the local drug ayahuasca.
Kuznetsov is currently under arrest on suspicion of murder.
