“Delicate multilateral negotiations” regarding the end of the war in Ukraine “are already underway and have gained momentum in recent months.”

This was reported by The New York Times, citing sources.

According to their information, “quiet diplomatic efforts” are being made to “align” the Chinese-Brazilian peace plan with Volodymyr Zelensky’s “peace formula.” The publication notes that Kyiv is no longer displaying as much resistance toward peace initiatives from Brazil and China as it previously did.

Diplomats say it remains “unclear how Donald Trump’s role as a mediator will fit into these efforts.”

It appears the newspaper is referring to sessions held by contact groups, where Ukraine engages in talks with mediators, followed by separate negotiations between mediators and Russia on each point of the peace plan. This was recently discussed by the Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.
