However, France supplies them at a rate of 50 per month, whereas Russia can drop over a hundred of its bombs in a single day. So, both in the air and on the ground, Russia currently holds a significant advantage, notes the author of the article.
Ukraine boasted a video of what may be the first strike with a Hammer bomb on Russian forces in Avdiivka. The author sees irony in this, as previously Russian fighter-bombers bombarded the Ukrainian garrison with hundreds of bombs.
The French promised to supply 50 bombs per month, which is certainly better than nothing, the author notes. However, this is difficult to compare with Russian capabilities, as Russia can drop up to a hundred bombs every day.
“In the air and on the ground, the Russians currently hold a huge advantage in firepower,” writes the author.
By halting aid, the United States deprived Ukrainian forces of hundreds of thousands of artillery shells. While waiting for additional ammunition supplies from European countries, Ukrainian military forces are conducting only about 2,000 shots per day, whereas Russian batteries can fire up to 10,000 shots.
