The Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk urges conducting tenders with more discretion
November 21, 2023The official Twitter account of the European Parliament posted a controversial message.
It was an announcement about an article on European Union trade, accompanied by a map image depicting countries with which the EU trades, including Ukraine. However, Ukraine, painted in green, was depicted without the Crimean Peninsula. None of the EU countries recognize Crimea as Russian; on the contrary, they consider it part of Ukraine. Nevertheless, there have been several such precedents where maps depict Crimea as Russian.
Every such situation triggers an aggressive reaction from the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So far, they haven’t responded, but after some time, the tweet was deleted.
