“Four employees of the territorial recruitment center approached him, who forcefully dragged him into the car and took him for a medical examination, which found him fit for military service, despite his past injuries. He was immediately taken to a military unit in Cherkasy, where they refused to register him due to his complaints about his health. Then he was taken to a military unit in Uman, where he was also not accepted due to his complaints about his health. Then he was returned to Odessa, where he was handed a summons requiring him to report to the territorial recruitment center,” the court decision says.

The man had a previous knife wound that damaged his lung, making it difficult for him to breathe. He also had a gunshot wound to his limb, making it difficult for him to move.

Referring to these injuries, the man ignored the military summons (to report to the military unit), for which the court sentenced him to 3 years of imprisonment.
