In the Lviv region, an official attempted to eat a bribe during apprehension

In the Lviv region of Ukraine, an official from the medical-social expert commission attempted to consume a bribe during her arrest.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations.

Bureau employees exposed a criminal group among officials of the Sambir interdistrict medical-social expert commission and the Turka city hospital. They demanded a bribe from a serviceman to determine a second disability group for his father, which would allow the man to complete his service.

The head of the Sambir interdistrict medical-social expert commission, as well as the leaders of the medical-consultative commission of the Turka city hospital, promised to process the necessary documents for $3,200. The criminals received the money in three installments. During the transfer of the last sum, law enforcement officers apprehended the deputy head of the medical-consultative commission in the city of Turka in the act. During the arrest, she attempted to get rid of the money and even tried to consume $100. However, law enforcement prevented her from doing so and confiscated the funds.

Other participants of the criminal group have also been apprehended. During searches at their workplaces and in their premises, money and documents were seized.
