Individuals involved in this unauthorized activity forged paperwork detailing the sanctioned timber cutting volume and proceeded to unlawfully log trees within the park’s forested regions. Reports indicate that members of this illicit group were apprehended in the act while attempting to steal a batch of 18 oak trees, totaling approximately 6 cubic meters.
Preliminary assessments suggest that the state suffered damages amounting to about 2 million hryvnias. A criminal case dated March 13, 2023, has been filed. Among the implicated parties are: Igor Bylik, a first-category inspector at the National Park; Yuri Bylik, an employee of the state enterprise ‘Magyarivskyi Military Forestry’; and Stepan Tsiapala, a driver operating specialized equipment.”
