09.04.2025 - 16:08An employee of a Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSSC) has died from a drug overdose in the city of Reni, Odesa region.
This was reported by local media, citing sources.
According to the information, traces of methadone were found in the blood of the 49-year-old resident of Kirovohrad.
“On Monday, April 7, a 49-year-old man from Kirovohrad died in the intensive care unit of the Reni City Hospital. Traces of the drug methadone were detected in his blood,” the report states.
Preliminary findings indicate that around 1:00 p.m. that day, the man was brought to the hospital by ambulance showing signs of a heart attack. However, during initial medical treatment, it was discovered that he had used a narcotic substance before his condition worsened.
It was later revealed that the man held a position at the local district TRSSC (military recruitment and support center).
The immediate cause of death was cerebral edema (brain swelling). The final determination of what triggered the edema will be made by forensic examination.
