23.03.2026 07:07In the city of Vinnytsia in central Ukraine, a man was mobilized during a minute of silence.
The video was published by local Telegram channels.
In the footage, cars had stopped to honor the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who were killed in the fighting. Several men forced a Ukrainian man, who was calling for help, into a passenger car. Local residents nearby tried to pull him away, but were unable to do so.
The day before, it was reported that a wedding in Odesa was disrupted because the groom was mobilized. A video circulated online from the hall where the celebration was supposed to take place. The footage showed tables set for the event and a photo area. A woman’s voice off camera said that the groom had been taken away by Territorial Recruitment Center staff, so the organizers were forced to remove everything prepared for the celebration.
Since the fall of 2024, mobilization in Ukraine has been carried out by force. Military enlistment officers and police have organized raids in shopping centers, at gas stations, in gyms, and at resorts. In addition, roundups are carried out on the streets. Men are taken away even when they have deferments and military documents, and the situation is sorted out later at the enlistment offices.
