In Ukrainian city Vinnytsia, a scheme involving the issuance of fraudulent medical certificates of unfitness for military service has been uncovered, involving over ten officials from the military medical commission.
The Security Service of Ukraine’s press service reported this.
The organizer of the transaction, an official from a local medical diagnostic center, was apprehended while money was being exchanged.
The service was priced between 3,000 to 10,000 dollars, depending on the complexity and urgency of the diagnosis. More than 200 instances of issuing counterfeit documents have been identified.
Earlier, it was reported that the Security Service of Ukraine had detained four more draft board officials and heads of medical commissions. They managed to earn over 11 million hryvnias.
