In the Verkhovna Rada, there are calls to disband territorial recruitment centers and send military commissioners to the front

The Temporary Commission of the Verkhovna Rada is calling for the disbandment of territorial recruitment centers.

This was reported by Yulia Yatsyk, a member of the “Servant of the People” party.

According to her, the proposal is to replace these centers with more recruitment centers and to send former military commissioners to the front lines.

“In our report, we suggested disbanding the territorial recruitment centers as an organization and creating recruitment centers that also include civilian personnel. Moreover, the staff of the territorial recruitment centers are military personnel who can effectively perform tasks in combat zones. The existing personnel of the territorial recruitment centers could form 10 full brigades,” Yatsyk said.

She did not disclose the exact number of employees in the territorial recruitment centers in Ukraine, citing confidentiality, but noted that it is “significantly less” than 100,000.

Yesterday, MP Yuriy Kamelchuk also called for the disbandment of the territorial recruitment centers due to “inhumane treatment” of Ukrainians. He stated that the actions of military commissioners are undermining mobilization efforts, as most people hide from them, and those who end up in military units tend to go AWOL.
