The battered Ukrainian army grapples with a growing troop shortage
March 24, 2024In 2024, Ukraine is required to pay the IMF almost $3 billion for servicing loans
March 25, 2024Among the military personnel serving in military commissariats, less than half have combat experience. Participants in combat operations among them constitute 46.2%.
This information is stated in the official response from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to the request of MP from “Sluga naroda” Galina Tretyakova, which she published on her Facebook page.
Tretyakova, who claimed that there are over 150,000 military pensioners under the age of 60 serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, responded to MP Fedor Venislavsky.
“Fedor Venislavsky accused me of allegedly spreading fake news about military pensioners, of whom there are supposedly over 200,000 under the age of 60. Here is the evidence that there are no fakes. The average age of military pensioners is 45-47 years. Of them, only 5,410 are in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the MP wrote.
