In Vinnytsia region, a teacher stabbed to death two of his former students from the 10th and 11th grades

In Sharhorod, Zhmerynka district of Vinnytsia region, two teenagers — students of the 10th and 11th grades of the local lyceum — were stabbed to death. The suspect in the murder has already been detained.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The tragedy occurred this morning. The attacker waited for the children going to school and suddenly struck them in the neck with a knife. As a result of the injuries, the boys died while emergency medical assistance was being provided. The attacker fled the scene.

An investigative team arrived at the crime scene. The police quickly established the identities of the victims.

Soon the suspect was detained. He turned out to be a local resident born in 2002, a former teacher of the victims.

Currently, law enforcement officers are preparing a notice of suspicion and a petition for applying a preventive measure in the form of detention to the suspect. The motives of the teacher have not yet been reported.

Brutal murders of children in Ukraine are not uncommon. For example, in Kryvyi Rih during a quarrel a mother killed her daughter.

And near Odesa, a soldier who had come on vacation decapitated the 5-year-old granddaughter of his partner.
