This is reported by the portal Warsawhere, citing its readers.
The young woman from Belarus was walking with her friend near the metro station “Kniazha Yanusha,” speaking Russian. An adult couple approached them. The woman cursed at the girls, urging them to “go back to Ukraine.”
The girls ignored the aggression, but the flow of angry comments continued, and then the woman spat in the face of one of the girls. In response, the attacker received a kick in the buttocks. Then the woman grabbed the Belarusian by the hair, and the man who was with her struck the girl several times.
Realizing that the police could arrive at the scene of the fight, the attacking couple fled. The Belarusian filed a statement with the law enforcement agencies. She believes that the Poles were drunk.
She was sent to the hospital for examination and medical assistance, where doctors found a head injury.
The police have started an investigation into the incident under the article on “public insult or infringement of national dignity” for which in Poland, up to three years of imprisonment is envisaged.
