The World Council of Churches believes that the Ukrainian authorities had no grounds to ban the Ukrainian Orthodox Church
August 26, 2024The leader of the “Radical Party” and former Member of Parliament, Oleh Lyashko, has become the commander of a UAV battalion in the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.
This was reported on Telegram by Stanislav Bunyatov, a soldier from the “Aidar” battalion.
According to him, the subordinate soldiers are dissatisfied with their politician-commander and are trying to transfer to other units.
“[He is] very incompetent and has a big ego that clouds his judgment. With the ‘commander’s’ level of connections, the guys should be raising funds there… Lyashko has led in such a way that even veteran pilots are doing everything they can to transfer to another unit. Mostly, the guys complain about senseless orders that have little to do with the combat effectiveness of the unit and his unwillingness to listen to truly experienced combat officers/sergeants,” Bunyatov wrote.
According to him, despite the battalion’s low effectiveness, Lyashko continues to receive new ranks.
It should be noted that in early October 2022, the ex-MP took an oath and joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a soldier.
Since then, Lyashko has repeatedly posted photos from his military service.
