Against Berlin’s will: The US is importing cluster munitions into Ukraine through Germany — Responsible Statecraft
July 31, 2024India supports friendly relations with both Ukraine and Russia and hopes to assist Kyiv and Moscow in resolving their conflict.
This was stated by Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, as reported by NHK.
The Indian Foreign Minister is convinced that “the solution to the problem will not be found on the battlefield,” and thus world leaders should facilitate prompt peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
He also mentioned that India should be more active in helping to resolve the “conflict” because there are “not many countries in the world that can talk to both Ukraine and Russia.”
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Moscow at the beginning of July and held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Last week, Indian media reported that Modi is considering a visit to Ukraine in August, but Jaishankar has not yet confirmed the possibility of such a visit.
