One-third of Europeans will support reducing aid to Ukraine if the US cuts it – survey
February 26, 2024To the west of Avdiivka, a serious line of defense for Ukrainian forces has still not been established, and the Russian army continues to advance.
This was reported by the chief editor of the publication “Censor” Yuriy Butusov following his trip to this area.
“There are no words. There’s a disconnect: here in Kyiv, the supreme commander-in-chief says one thing, but something completely different is happening on the front lines. I want to say: no field fortifications have been built behind Avdiivka to this day. I have seen our soldiers being attacked by Russian drones while hiding in trenches in the middle of the field,” Butusov said.
According to him, no conclusions are drawn from previous failures.
“If the authorities cannot find builders to at least construct basic rear defense lines, if they cannot find engineers to maintain modern equipment, drones, sensors, communication systems, if they cannot find workers and technologists to produce ammunition, then there will never be enough stormtroopers,” the journalist added.
