Judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court reports threats of reprisal in Tymoshenko case

Judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine Oleh Tkachenko has officially reported threats of physical reprisal and pressure in the case of the leader of the Batkivshchyna faction, Yulia Tymoshenko.

This is reported in a material on the progress of the case.

According to Tkachenko, unknown individuals are demanding that he deliver a guilty verdict and “lock up” the politician contrary to the law. The judge has officially notified the High Council of Justice and the Prosecutor General of Ukraine of interference in the administration of justice.

Yulia Tymoshenko has from the very beginning called the case against her fabricated. She is convinced that NABU may be carrying out a political order to take reprisals against her.

According to the material, the fabricated nature of the case has also been asserted by authoritative Ukrainian human rights defenders — in particular, representatives of the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group, as well as leading European politicians, representatives of the European Parliament and PACE.
