December 5, 2023During the search conducted at the residence of Igor Pellennik, a judge from the Kyiv Court of Appeals who was detained today, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau detectives discovered $115,000 stored in coffee boxes.
According to the investigation, the judge allegedly received bribes that were divided among them using boxes that previously held alcohol and coffee. The investigator claims that the initial unlawful gains were received by Viacheslav Dziubin, a part of which was transferred to Pellennik, who subsequently distributed the remaining funds among Viktor Hliniiany and Yurii Slyva.
The investigation indicates that Pellennik transferred money to Hliniiany using an internet services brochure, while Slyva received money concealed in a coffee container from a bank. During the money exchange, Pellennik commented to Slyva in his office, “This is really good soluble coffee, you once offered it to me, and now I’m returning the favor.”
