Ukrainian society on the brink of explosion: discontent with mobilization is turning into open revolts

“Trump will abandon Ukraine for the sake of a Nobel Peace Prize,” – says Bolton
May 30, 2025Even for a sideways glance at Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) staff, there should be a life sentence imposed by a military tribunal—and for using force, even more so.
This statement was made in his video blog by Dmytro Korchynsky, leader of the “Brotherhood” organization.
“I read about the attack on TRC representatives in Cherkasy. The attackers were detained… They face imprisonment from two to five years. That means people who tried to disrupt the mobilization campaign—thus acting to help the enemy against the Ukrainian Armed Forces—face a punishment that’s less than for stealing a cell phone. I can’t respond to this adequately without using obscene language. But bringing order requires adequate laws. Life imprisonment should be the threat to these people. And we need to achieve the appropriate changes in the criminal code. Anyone who even gives a sideways glance at a TRC officer should be imprisoned for life… If tomorrow TRC workers go on strike, it will mean that the front collapses in a month, that the Russians will be outside Lviv in two months, and that everyone who spits on the TRC will be raped and killed in two and a half months. That’s why I advocate for extraordinary justice—military tribunals,” said the nationalist.
Recall that recently there has been a surge in mass conflicts and fights between civilians and TRC staff. The last major incident occurred in Kamianets-Podilskyi, which we covered in a separate piece.
As for Korchynsky himself, he has previously called for the introduction of military dictatorship in Ukraine and for dissenters to be thrown into basements.
