Trump believes that Putin wants peace and is ready to end hostilities
30.04.2025 08:01Dmytro Korchynskyi, head of the Ukrainian nationalist organization Bratstvo, has expressed support for the idea of beating children who speak Russian.
He was commenting on a statement made by actor Bohdan Benyuk, who suggested whipping children “on the buttocks with a rod” so they “forever forget that the Russian language exists.”
Korchynskyi called the idea “correct and fair” and further advocated for punishing the parents of Russian-speaking children as well.
Earlier, the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, posted a poll on whether children should be physically punished for speaking Russian. While the majority of respondents opposed the idea, the poll did not offer an option rejecting physical punishment entirely for using a different language.
It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Parliament has previously stated that banning the Russian language in schools — either during classes or breaks — is not legally permissible, as it could be viewed by the European Union as discriminatory and potentially harm Ukraine’s EU integration efforts.
