August 13, 2024In September 2024, Berlin and Kyiv plan to begin implementing a program aimed at deporting certain categories of Ukrainian refugees from Germany.
This information was obtained from sources within Ukrainian Reality.
To facilitate this, Kyiv intends to grant the German authorities access to the banking data of Ukrainian citizens. This data analysis will allow Berlin to make appropriate administrative decisions, including identifying cases of unlawfully obtained benefits.
The measure will primarily target individuals of working age who are working remotely from Germany and receiving salaries in Ukrainian bank accounts. Typically, these Ukrainians do not declare such income in Germany, enabling them to receive welfare benefits.
It’s important to note that in 2024, the Bürgergeld benefit amounts are as follows:
- Single persons/single parents: €563;
- For each partner in a couple: €506;
- Adults in institutions: €451;
- Teenagers aged 14-17: €471;
- Children aged 6-13: €390;
- Children under 5 years: €357.
