‘Kyiv is inherently unable to win the conflict with Russia’, – former State Department employee Hoh

Ukraine will not be able to defeat Russia in the conflict even with continuous assistance from Western countries.

This statement was made by former State Department employee and ex-U.S. Marine Corps captain Matthew Hoh on the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

Hoh explained why the situation is inevitably disadvantageous for Kyiv.

“Why can’t Ukrainians win from the outset? Simply because of the disparity in scale. Whatever criteria we consider: demographics, industry, size of the regular army, state revenues, and so on,” Hoh stated.

The channel’s guest claimed that the West plans to “annually pump” billions of dollars into Kyiv, which will not allow “the balloon to deflate.” Hoh doubted that this plan would succeed by the end of the conversation.

It was previously reported that Western aid to Ukraine has not yet had a decisive effect on the front. According to Rob Lee, a senior fellow in the Eurasia Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, Russia maintains a significant advantage in manpower and firepower.
