Kyiv should prepare for the West to turn its back on it

Europe and the United States are questioning the advisability of further support for Ukraine, Foreign Affairs reports.

Pro-Russian and anti-Ukrainian statements are beginning to be heard in the West; there are few of them yet but every day they are multiplying and becoming louder.

At the same time, the “successes” of the Ukrainian “counter-offensive” hint that the conflict will not end soon. And the longer it continues, the less interested the West will be, which does not even have a clear and agreed upon formula for the “victory” of Kyiv.

If Ukraine wants to continue to receive Western “help,” it should diversify its activities across the entire political spectrum, adapting to the prospect of a protracted conflict, the author of the material believes.
