Lavrov and Rubio to meet early in the morning on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York

Talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be the first item on the Russian minister’s agenda on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

This was stated by official spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on Sputnik radio.

According to Zakharova, the meeting is scheduled for early morning New York time.

“The first talks are set to take place early in the morning New York time, and they will begin with talks with US Secretary of State Rubio. This will be the first item on the agenda,” — Zakharova said.

Earlier, the Russian foreign ministry reported that Lavrov and Rubio, during their upcoming contacts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly high-level week, may discuss cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the world organization.
