“I’m not happy about it”: Trump says the time has come to make decisions about the war in Ukraine
08.05.2025 06:01Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated from Red Square that he is not afraid of punishment from the European Union for attending the Victory Day parade in Russia commemorating the defeat of Nazi Germany.
Despite threats from EU leaders, closed airspace over neighboring countries, and even a recent health issue, Vučić traveled to Moscow and gave an interview to Serbian television from Red Square.
“I don’t care at all what anyone else in the world thinks or says. I was elected by the Serbian people, by the citizens of Serbia. I am not elected in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, or anywhere else,” Vučić stated.
“As for the European Union — I’m confident that Serbia will remain on its European path. If they want to punish someone, let them punish me,” he added.
To recall, in early May, President Vučić fell ill during a visit to the United States and canceled all meetings.
Vučić had said he intended to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump and senior members of the U.S. Republican Party.
