EU prepares to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians beyond 2027 — but with age restrictions
18.06.2026 07:04The Lviv Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support has published a video recording of the detention of Lavrynenko, owner of the Telegram channel “Trukha,” accompanied by an official statement.
According to the text published alongside the video, a check found that Lavrynenko’s active deferral or reservation status could not be confirmed.
He was subsequently taken to the Lychakiv-Zaliznychny district TCC and SP to verify his military registration data and undergo procedures required by law, including a medical examination to determine his fitness for military service.
“During the check, it was established that the available registration data did not confirm an active deferral or reservation. The citizen was then taken to the Lychakiv-Zaliznychny district TCC and SP to verify his military registration data and undergo procedures established by law, in particular a medical examination to determine his fitness for military service,” — the text accompanying the video states.
In the recording, Lavrynenko can be heard telling TCC officers that he has the necessary documents in his car and offering to go to the vehicle. The military commissars refused. Lavrynenko also offered to call someone — the TCC officers refused that as well.
Lavrynenko was then forcibly placed in a TCC vehicle. He was also not permitted to get out of the car to meet his wife and hand her some belongings.
Earlier that same day, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense rejected Lavrynenko’s claim that he had been detained on the personal orders of Minister Fedorov.
