Instead of prioritizing people’s safety, Lviv is undergoing a major park renovation for 25 million hryvnias, tree and bush trimming for 65 million hryvnias, taxi services for city council officials for 6 million hryvnias, while municipal shelters are “out of date.”
During a visit, Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries Timur Tkachenko was unpleasantly surprised by one such scenario. The on-site toilet had no doors, and water was leaking from pipes. Local residents express outrage on social media, stating that even the money spent is often embezzled. What has been done is of poor quality. However, the main dissatisfaction is that cities, like the state budget, should allocate funds for military equipment.
