In Russia’s State Duma, Rutte was called an “adept of a proxy war” against Russia
04.02.2026 - 08:01U.S. President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and businessman Jared Kushner, the American leader’s son-in-law, will again take part in Russia–Ukraine talks on settling the Ukrainian crisis, which will be held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on February 4.
This was announced by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
“Special envoy Witkoff and Jared Kushner will be in Abu Dhabi tomorrow for another round of trilateral talks,” she told reporters.
The previous meeting in the same format “was historic,” Leavitt emphasized. According to her, U.S. President Donald Trump continues to “aggressively push diplomacy” and, together with his team, is ready to make “the impossible possible” — to achieve a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
“Special envoy Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and President Trump made the impossible possible with the Middle East peace plan. And I know they aim to do the same when it comes to the war between Russia and Ukraine,” Leavitt said.
