U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he is eagerly anticipating his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Trump, many elements of the final agreement on Ukraine have already been agreed upon, but much work remains to be done.
He shared this message on his social media platform, Truth Social.
“Many elements of the final agreement have been agreed upon, but there is still much to be done. Thousands of young soldiers and others are dying,” Trump wrote.
He also claimed that “2,500 soldiers from both sides are dying every week.”
Meanwhile, Russian media reports indicate that the conversation is scheduled for today, March 18, at 5:00 PM Kyiv time.
Earlier, Trump announced that his discussion with Putin would cover territorial control, the fate of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, and the “division of Ukraine’s assets.”
Trump has repeatedly expressed confidence that Washington and Moscow can reach an agreement on a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine.
