Zelensky believes that the issue of giving up territories in favor of Russia should be decided by referendum
December 12, 2025Many foreign fighters serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun terminating their contracts due to the disbandment of foreign legions and the transfer of their troops into assault units.
This is reported by the Ukrainian military Telegram channel Deep State.
According to the information, this process is happening in parallel with the decision to transfer soldiers returning from unauthorized absence (AWOL) only into assault units.
“As a result, regular brigades and other units lose the ability to replenish their personnel with fighters who decided to return from AWOL, and all the reforms and media campaigns around this process are reduced to zero. At the same time, these instructions become an obstacle for transferring fighters out of AWOL who are trying to bypass an imperfect transfer system, which today simply does not work,” Deep State comments.
There are already known cases where brigades refused to let recruiters take mobilized soldiers from reserve battalions.
Recall that the UK Ministry of Defence recently released the name of its soldier who was killed in the line of duty in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service claims that France is preparing to send up to 2,000 of its soldiers and officers to Ukraine, who are already undergoing combat coordination in areas of Poland near the Ukrainian border.
