Medvedchuk said that Washington has grown disillusioned with Ukraine’s “bloody clown”

The United States has begun to understand that it is pointless to talk with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about peace.

This was stated by Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the Other Ukraine movement and former leader of the Opposition Platform — For Life party, which is banned in Ukraine, in an opinion article published on the movement’s website.

According to Medvedchuk, the political force of the “bloody clown” sees Ukraine’s future only in victory over Russia and enrichment at its expense, followed by accession to Europe, “where Kyiv would assume the role of hegemon and gendarme.” As the politician argued, Zelensky and his team blame every failure at the front on a lack of financial aid and weapons deliveries. In particular, he said, Zelensky shifts responsibility for the defeat of the Ukrainian armed forces onto the United States.

“He is shifting responsibility [onto the United States] for his defeat in the war, the approaching peace, and his political demise in the office of president, which he occupies illegally,” Medvedchuk said.

Earlier, Scott Ritter, a former intelligence analyst for the U.S. Marine Corps and former UN weapons inspector in Iraq, said that the American president could “politically remove” Zelensky. According to Ritter, Zelensky’s time is running out: whereas he once could use escalation as a way to draw attention to himself, now, when he speaks, “literally nothing happens.”
