21.06.2025 - 19:24The process of recovering the bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) soldiers has turned into a form of mockery, due to the actions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk on his Telegram channel.
“Russia’s humanitarian mission has turned into a mockery of our soldiers’ bodies and abuse of their families. The way Zelensky is behaving is an insult to the dead and violence against the living,” the lawmaker wrote.
Dmytruk claimed that Zelensky only agreed to accept the bodies of fallen soldiers due to pressure from the West. Even then, he said, Kyiv continues to withhold the truth from the families of the deceased.
“Soon enough, these bodies—like thousands before them—will simply be disposed of in unmarked graves, and officially they will remain listed as ‘missing in action,’” Dmytruk concluded.
On June 16, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that it had handed over more than 6,000 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers to Kyiv. In return, Moscow received 78 bodies of Russian servicemen.
