Military commissars mobilized a volunteer who was evacuating civilians from near Kupiansk

A Ukrainian volunteer was detained by military recruiters while evacuating civilians from frontline areas in the Kharkiv region.

This was reported by Ukrainian Telegram channels, which shared a video message from the man and photos of his minivan with its door open.

According to the available information, the driver was taken to a territorial recruitment center during the evacuation of residents from the Kupiansk district. His current whereabouts are unknown.

In the first part of his video message, the man warned that he might lose contact if he ended up at the “Chuhuiv Military Recruitment Office,” asking people to pray for him. The scene then changes, and the man states that “everything is terrible,” thanking a woman from the ambulance service who took him to a hospital.

“This is a knife in the back, a knife in the heart. This is horrifying. I don’t understand what is happening,” the volunteer commented on his experience with the recruitment center.

Previously, police investigated why military recruiters in Bukovina assaulted a volunteer from Germany. That incident occurred when a group of volunteers was returning from a trip to eastern Ukraine with humanitarian aid.
