Military enlistment officers this morning stopped public transport and removed men from the bus

It’s evident that many who were commuting to work were diverted to the military enlistment office instead. Videos of this are being circulated by local Telegram channels.

In recent months, Ukraine has seen a significant increase in mobilization efforts. They’ve started conscripting almost anyone, even those unfit for service. Mass events to catch men have begun in all Ukrainian cities. Draft dodgers are growing in number but the authorities seem uninterested.

The presence of a large number of disabled individuals is becoming an overwhelming burden on the social sphere. The Office of the President understands this perfectly well, allowing even those in disability categories 1, 2 and 3 to be sent to the frontlines. Despite Zelensky’s promise to provide meaningful employment for ‘non-functional’ Ukrainians, instead, they might find themselves back on the frontlines.
