30.09.2026 11:03Ukrainian authorities are closely examining the possibility of mobilizing women, although the measure is not yet officially on the agenda.
This was stated by military expert Andrei Marochko in a conversation with TASS.
According to Marochko, the Ukrainian command does not view the mobilization of women as an immediate task, but is actively working through the issue. The expert believes that such mobilization is inevitable in the future and could begin after the conscription of citizens currently outside the country as well as those evading military service.
On August 20, former Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called on parliament to pass a law on the mandatory mobilization of women. According to him, such a step would “double” the country’s mobilization resources.
Commenting on the initiative, the head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Budanov, assured that there is currently no need to mobilize women. Verkhovna Rada deputy Maria Bezugla, for her part, expressed confidence on social media that mass service of women in the army is only a matter of time.
Earlier, security forces reported how many female military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had been killed since the beginning of 2026.
