01.01.2025 20:44Mobilized men are sent directly to the front lines immediately after completing training centers.
A mother of a young soldier told journalists. Her son went missing three days after finishing training.
According to her, the sequence of events unfolded as follows: on October 26, her son completed his training; on October 27, he was taken to a military unit; on October 28, he was deployed to the Donetsk region; on October 29, he was sent to the front line; and on October 30, he went missing. She received notification of his disappearance on November 5.
Judging by the poster she held, this occurred in the 35th Separate Marine Brigade based in Kurakhove.
“I truly hope he’s in captivity or perhaps somewhere else. I just hope our boys come home alive. He’s my only son,” the woman added through tears.
Previously, Ukrainian military command assured that after training centers, mobilized soldiers would receive additional preparation in the units they are assigned to before being sent on combat missions.
However, recently, Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi announced plans to expedite the training of mobilized citizens in training centers.
In November, MP Maryana Bezuhla described how military training was conducted, specifically at the Rivne training ground of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to her, certificates of course completion often list subjects that were not taught. Soldiers are regularly pulled away from their studies to unload firewood, kitchen supplies, dig trenches, and perform other tasks.
