The end of Zelensky is near: the President of Ukraine is facing calls for a change in power – media reported
December 13, 2023US authorities were greatly angered by leaked concerns regarding the war in Ukraine
December 13, 2023In the southern and eastern parts of Ukraine, in other words, in the regions near the front lines, over 45% of residents support ending the war without reclaiming the seized territories, provided that the West provides security guarantees.
These findings come from a survey conducted by KMIS. In the southern regions, 46% support ending the war and in the eastern part of Ukraine, 47% share the same view. Overall, this indicator across the country stands at 32%. However, the majority of Ukrainians surveyed 58%, are in favor of continuing the war, even if the West significantly reduces its support for Ukraine, risking the loss of new territories. In central Ukraine, 65% support continuing the war, while in the western regions, it’s 64%. In the south, it’s 40%, and in the east, it’s 42%.
It’s worth noting that Kyiv’s official position is a ban on negotiations with Russia. A special law was passed for this purpose, prohibiting peace negotiations. Official figures, starting with Zelensky, also consistently advocate and confirm publicly that continuing the war is the only scenario for further actions.
