Over 18 million Ukrainians have entered Poland from Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
According to border officials, just on December 31, 19,800 people entered Poland from Ukraine (with 11,200 going in the opposite direction), and since February 24, 2022, a total of 18.145 million individuals have made this journey.
In the opposite direction, from Poland to Ukraine, 16.368 million people have entered since the beginning of the war.

As a reminder, the European Union extended protection measures for Ukrainian refugees until March 2025. Under these temporary protection measures, all refugees from Ukraine have the right to work in the European Union, access housing, medical assistance, social benefits, and education for their children.
