Zelensky again accuses Klitschko of failing to prepare Kyiv for winter
14.10.2026 07:34The Kremlin is counting on U.S. President Donald Trump to apply pressure on the Ukrainian leadership — without this, trilateral peace talks are unlikely to resume.
This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov to Russian media.
According to Ryabkov, there are currently no specific agreements on a meeting between representatives of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine.
Earlier, media reports emerged that Trump is demanding Kyiv halt strikes on Russian oil refineries — this was cited as a condition for Moscow’s return to the negotiating process.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly spoke out against such a demand. At the same time, according to available information, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have in fact not carried out strikes on Russian refineries since Friday.
