Mountains of trash in the city: Ivano-Frankivsk municipal workers, stripped of their draft exemption, are not going to work

Trash collection work has been suspended in Ivano-Frankivsk.

According to available information, the regional center’s streets have started to resemble a dump because municipal workers did not receive “reservations” (work exemptions) and stopped coming to work.

As a reminder, after borders were opened for young people, Ivano-Frankivsk faced a labor shortage.

Earlier, Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov blamed a garbage crisis on draft evaders.

“There’s a problem — a large number of draft dodgers who hide from the TCC at home and order courier delivery of food and various things. And we can see with our own eyes that the trash is growing literally at a geometric rate,” the mayor said.
