18.03.2025 - 14:44Russian army has entered Sumy Region and may advance in Zaporizhzhia.
This was reported by Ukrainian MP Maryana Bezuhla in her social media posts.
“In Sumy region, Russian troops have already advanced as deep as the remaining territory under our control in Kursk region. Yes, the Russians are already in Sumy region. There may be negative news from Zaporizhzhia region,” Bezuhla wrote.
She also once again criticized Ukraine’s military command, this time blaming it for chaos during the retreat from positions in the Kursk region.
Notably, in Kursk region, the width of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ (UAF) bridgehead is about 8 km, according to the Deep State military resource map. Based on Bezuhla’s statement, this suggests that Russian forces have advanced approximately 8 km into Sumy region. The Deep State map indicates a gray zone extending up to Basivka, meaning that fighting is ongoing in the area and neither side has secured control.
Regarding Zaporizhzhia region, it was previously reported that Russian forces had become more active and advanced in the Orikhiv direction, the closest approach to Zaporizhzhia.
