16.05.2024 10:31Member of Parliament from the “Sluga Naroda” party, Maxim Buzhansky, is requesting that the High Council of Justice investigate violations of the law by member Roman Maselko.
This was reported by the publication “Law and Business.”
According to Buzhansky, Maselko has repeatedly been involved in conflicts of interest. Specifically, he has dealt with complaints against judges whom he had publicly criticized before, as well as with complaints against public activists with whom he had friendly relations and from whom he received “charitable assistance.”
Buzhansky notes that these facts provide grounds to assert that Maselko has a “personal interest,” which “consists, in particular, of a desire to ensure the successful consideration and satisfaction of complaints from individuals with whom he has special, including friendly, relations, as well as complaints from a public organization with which he had organizational and financial relationships, promoted its activities and continued to build mutually beneficial relationships.”
Additionally, the MP draws attention to the fact that Maselko has been living in Kyiv since October 2005, but according to his declaration, he is registered in Zhydachiv, Stryi District, Lviv Region. This allows him to manipulate the submission of applications to “convenient” courts. Moreover, in Buzhansky’s opinion, a member of the High Council of Justice violates the law on military duty.
Meanwhile, MP Kirill Nesterenko has appealed to the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption to clarify “questionable information” about the incomes of Maselko and his spouse.
For example, in the declaration for the year 2018, submitted by him as a candidate for the High Council of Justice, he indicated that he had received a loan from a third party in the amount of 406,749 hryvnias (9,614 euros), and also gifted his wife 450,000 hryvnias (10,636 euros). However, in the declaration for the same period as a member of the High Council of Justice, Maselko did not specify these amounts.
The MP also has doubts regarding the declaration for the year 2019, where Maselko stated that his wife received a loan of 440,000 hryvnias (10,400 euros) from a pensioner, which, given her social status, could hardly have provided.
Maselko also claims that in 2011 he received a land plot of 1200 square meters in the village of Yasnohorodka, Kyiv region, through privatization. However, according to the MP, “such circumstances look dubious and unlikely.” Being registered in the Lviv region, “it is practically impossible to receive a plot for free in the suburbs of Kyiv through general privatization in practice.”
It is worth noting that it was previously reported that High Council of Justice member Roman Maselko received almost 300,000 hryvnias (7,091 euros) for health improvement by taking a one-day leave.
Also, it is worth recalling that the Automaidan lawyer Roman Maselko was elected to the High Council of Justice in August 2022. He was actively supported by individuals and organizations from grant circles associated with Western structures.
