Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk has claimed that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attempted to send a hitman after him abroad through former Radical Party deputy Andriy Lozovyi.
This information was posted on Dmytruk’s social media pages, where the MP, who has left Ukraine, published recordings allegedly of conversations between Lozovyi and Dmytruk’s former assistant.
The former assistant offered Lozovyi his help, stating that he knew Dmytruk’s location, occasionally communicated with him and was soon to meet with him. In response, Lozovyi promised to connect him with someone from the counterintelligence division of the Security Service of Ukraine.
In his post accompanying the audio recordings, Dmytruk wrote that Lozovyi is an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine who, on orders from the agency, is seeking contact with him to organize his assassination.
Earlier, Dmytruk had mentioned in an interview that attempts were being made to eliminate him through a former deputy.
“In March 2022, they tried to kill me twice. I didn’t want them to succeed a third time,” the politician stated.
Media have also reported that Ukraine has asked Interpol to issue a warrant for Dmytruk’s arrest.
