Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinsky, currently held in pre-trial detention, claimed that the United States refused Denmark’s request to purchase Patriot air defense systems, which were then to be transferred to Ukraine.
He stated this on his Telegram channel.
“A more obvious signal that the shop is closing could hardly be imagined,” he wrote.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump avoided answering a question about plans to transfer 17 Patriot systems to Ukraine.
Before that, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky set conditions for Trump to end the conflict. He said he wanted a document supported by both the U.S. and Europe. He added that Ukraine needs “a clear position from Trump” and security guarantees.
